Bergen Aquarium, Public aquarium in Bergen Municipality, Norway
The Bergen Aquarium contains more than 60 tanks featuring marine life from Norwegian waters and tropical regions across multiple exhibition spaces.
Established in 1960, the Bergen Aquarium was designed by architects Hans Chr. Gaaserud and Helge Simers, with additions including a movie theater in 1995.
The facility functions as an educational center where visitors learn about marine ecosystems through daily presentations and interactive exhibits.
The aquarium provides accessibility through elevators, offers a café serving fresh food, and maintains regular opening hours throughout all seasons.
Three outdoor pools house seals and penguins, while indoor sections display over 300 species including reptiles, monkeys, and Norwegian coastal fish.
