Nordnes Park

Nordnes Park is a green space at the western edge of Bergen's downtown, with views across the fjord and surrounding landscape. The park features paths, benches, and a seawater pool for various outdoor activities.

A businessman developed this park between 1888 and 1898 as part of a movement to create public green spaces in urban Norway. The project became a model for similar parks established in other Nordic cities.

A wooden totem pole from Seattle stands in the park as a symbol of connection between the two cities. The gift, installed decades ago, has become a recognizable landmark that draws visitors to this waterfront location.
