Henie-Onstad Art Centre

The Henie Onstad Art Centre occupies 3500 square meters of exhibition space on a peninsula, surrounded by the Oslo fjord and outdoor sculpture installations.

Founded in 1968 through the donation of Sonja Henie and Niels Onstad, the museum began with 300 artworks and has expanded to over 4000 pieces.

The museum houses works by Picasso, Matisse, and Beuys, while maintaining an active program of contemporary exhibitions, concerts, and performances throughout the year.

Located 15 minutes from Oslo, visitors can reach the museum via bus line 160, with adult admission at 130 NOK and free entry for children under 18.

The permanent installation Hymn of Life by Yayoi Kusama stands among the extensive collection of modernist works from 1920-1960 and Fluxus movement pieces.
