Rosfjord, Coastal fjord in Lyngdal and Farsund Municipality, Norway.
Rosfjord extends inland from the North Sea and is framed by the Austad peninsula on its eastern side. This waterway provides a natural harbor with sheltered waters that remain ice-free even in winter.
The area was part of Austad municipality from 1909 until 1963, when administrative changes took place. Agnefest harbor has served the region's maritime needs since the mid-18th century.
The shoreline is dotted with summer houses and cabins that show how local families maintain their connection to the sea. These simple wooden structures shape the everyday landscape and remain central to how people use this coastal area.
The waters remain ice-free year-round, making boating and harbor activities possible without seasonal interruptions. Visitors can walk along the shore and explore the different headlands and coves from the land side.
The northern end features a campsite that has attracted visitors for more than 80 years and a waterfront hotel built in the 1980s. Together these two places form a center for people wanting to spend time by the water.
