Nevelfjell

Nevelfjell is a mountain summit near Lillehammer reaching approximately 1,089 meters in elevation with multiple trails crossing its natural slopes. The peak sits in an area of typical Norwegian landscape that provides views across other mountain ranges.

The mountain has served as a natural boundary between Lillehammer and Øyer municipalities in Innlandet county for many centuries. Its location made it a geographical dividing point that separated different areas and communities in the region.

The mountain draws regular visitors from the surrounding area who come to walk its trails and spend time outdoors. The Nevelhytta cabin serves as a gathering spot where hikers rest and meet along their routes.

The starting point is about 20 minutes by car from Lillehammer at Nordseter, where parking is available for visitors. From there, walkers can follow marked trails to reach the summit.

On clear days, visitors can spot peaks from both the Jotunheimen and Rondane mountain ranges from the summit. This view connects two of Norway's most significant mountain regions from a single location.
