Innset Church, Baroque church in Rennebu, Norway.
Innset Church is a baroque church building in Rennebu featuring exterior walls clad in natural wood and incorporating traditional Norwegian architectural elements throughout its design. The structure follows a cruciform layout and accommodates approximately 300 people.
A church building stood on this site from 1642, but it was destroyed by fire in 1995. The present structure was rebuilt and completed in 2000.
The church serves as a gathering place where the local community comes together for worship and musical performances throughout the year. It holds significance as a social and spiritual center for the parish.
The church is accessible from the main entrance where the wooden exterior is clearly visible. Modern facilities have been incorporated to ensure comfortable access for all visitors.
The building was designed by architect Kjell Kvernaas and bridges the memory of the lost church with modern solutions. This design demonstrates how contemporary accessibility can be woven into traditional church architecture.
