Borgund Church in Ålesund

Borgund Church is a medieval stone building with a cruciform floor plan and Romanesque architectural features in Ålesund. The interior space contains detailed wooden carvings throughout and can accommodate approximately 650 people.

The building was constructed around 1300 and stands on the foundations of an earlier 12th-century church. It underwent major reconstruction following a fire in 1904.
