Batac

Batac is a component city in Ilocos Norte that sits between two neighboring municipalities in an area known for farming and agriculture. It functions as a local hub for commerce and everyday services, with neighborhoods and districts that make up its larger community.

Batac was founded in 1587 by Augustinian missionaries working to establish Catholic communities across the region. The city grew from this missionary settlement into the urban center it is today.
