Cavinti is a municipality in Laguna province on the Philippines, situated in a landscape bordered by two artificial lakes created for hydroelectric purposes. The rural setting is defined by these water features and the communities surrounding them.
This place gained independence from a neighboring municipality in 1619 through a papal decree. It was formally established as its own municipality nearly three centuries later in 1907.
