Carles, Administrative municipality in Iloilo province, Philippines.
Carles encompasses 33 barangays across fourteen islands and minor islets, with eighteen barangays situated on scattered landmasses including Balbagon and Sicogon Islands.
The settlement began in 1846 at Punta Bulakawe, later becoming a municipality in 1862 under Governor Jose Maria Carles after separating from Pueblo de Pilar.
