Mado Hot Spring National Park

Mado Hot Spring National Park is a protected geothermal site in Maguindanao Province featuring natural bathing pools and mineral-rich hot springs spread across approximately 48 hectares. The area near Awang Airport contains several warm water features of varying sizes and depths suitable for swimming and soaking.

The site became a protected national park in 1939 through an official proclamation, recognizing its importance as a natural resource for the country. This early designation demonstrates that the geothermal site was valued for its significance to the region from the beginning of modern conservation efforts.

Locals and visitors gather at the springs to bathe and unwind, treating them as a natural gathering place where families spend time together in the warm waters. The site holds value as a wellness destination where people experience the healing properties of the mineral-rich environment.
