Baluarte Zoo

Baluarte Zoo is a wildlife park in Vigan with enclosures for Bengal tigers, lions, leopards, and many other animal species from around the world. The facility spreads across a large property and displays both exotic and native Philippine animals in open areas.

The land began as a private rest house before businessman Luis Chavit Singson converted it into a wildlife park. This transformation grew from his expanding animal collection gathered during his hunting expeditions.

The place lets local visitors learn about animals from around the world without traveling far from home. The collection teaches people about different species and how they live in their natural environments.

Visiting during the day is best when animals are more active and events take place. Comfortable shoes are important since the property is large and requires lots of walking.

The park holds daily animal presentations where visitors can watch big cats and tigers in action. These shows demonstrate real animal behavior and offer insights into the nature of these predators.
