Remuh Synagogue, Renaissance synagogue in Kazimierz district, Kraków, Poland.
The building features a central prayer hall with a wrought-iron enclosed bimah and chandeliers that illuminate the Renaissance interior design.
The synagogue, completed in 1557, received royal permission from King Sigismund II Augustus after facing initial opposition from the Church authorities.
The synagogue bears the name of Rabbi Moses Isserles, known as ReMA, who wrote substantial commentaries on Jewish religious law and traditions.
Visitors can access the synagogue daily from 10 AM to 4 PM, except Saturdays and holidays, with extended hours until 6 PM during summer.
The adjacent cemetery contains numerous original tombstones with Hebrew inscriptions that survived the Second World War despite Nazi destruction attempts.
