Nowa Sól County, Administrative county in Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland.
Nowa Sól County is an administrative territory in Lubusz Voivodeship in western Poland. The area comprises eight municipalities spread across roughly 770 square kilometers, with the Oder River marking its eastern boundary.
The territory came under Prussian rule in 1742 and developed into an important industrial region. Salt production and river-based trade shaped the area's economic growth during that period.
The county preserves regional traditions through its museum in Nowa Sól, which displays objects reflecting the area's heritage. Visitors can discover there the traditional crafts and ways of life from past generations.
The administrative center Nowa Sól connects to larger cities by rail and road, particularly to Zielona Góra roughly 22 kilometers to the northwest. The Oder River also provides a natural access point, while the more scattered communities are reachable via local roads.
The area contains several preserved windmills, including a wooden structure in Lubięcin that serves as a regional landmark. These buildings date from times when milling facilities and water power dominated agricultural processing in the region.
