Wieruszów, Administrative center in Łódź Voivodeship, Poland.
Wieruszów stands along the Prosna River in south-central Poland, covering 6 square kilometers with residential districts and green spaces at 144 meters altitude.
The town received municipal rights during the Piast dynasty period, and Bishop Przecław of Pogorzela established the local Catholic parish in 1386.
The Pauline monastery, constructed in 1401 by Bernard Wierusz, contains nine baroque altars and wooden choir stalls from the late 17th century.
Wieruszów connects to major Polish cities through the S8 expressway and regional roads 450 and 482, with a train station serving regular routes.
The town lost its municipal rights in 1869 as punishment for participating in the January Uprising against Russian control.
