Dąbrowa Tarnowska, Administrative center in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland.

Dąbrowa Tarnowska is a city in southern Poland positioned between the Carpathian Foothills and the Sandomierz Basin. The Bren River flows through its territory, shaping the local landscape.

The town received its charter in 1693 after nobleman Michal Lubomirski built a Baroque palace between 1683 and 1693. These two events marked the beginning of its development as an established settlement.

The town center holds architectural remnants from different eras, such as a 19th-century synagogue and the remaining gate of the Lubomirski palace. These structures reflect the diversity of people and communities that lived here over time.

The town lies about 16 kilometers north of Tarnów and is easily accessible by car or bus. Visitors will find basic amenities here such as shops, cafés, and local museums that reflect everyday community life.

The name Dąbrowa derives from Polish words for oak groves that once covered this landscape. Those oak forests have disappeared over time, yet the name still echoes the original nature of the region.
