Kożuchów

Kożuchów is a city in Lubusz Voivodeship featuring preserved stone walls that encircle the historical center and contain several defensive towers. The fortifications show the town's earlier military importance.

The town received city rights in 1273 under Duke Henry III of Głogów and was originally known as Freystadt. This status helped it develop into a regional trade center.

The Parish Church displays architectural elements from different building periods, reflecting how the town evolved over centuries.

The Regional Museum in Krośnieńska Bastion displays knight armor, historical postcards, municipal documents, and old maps of the area. A visit provides good insight into local history and development.

The town hosts three annual fairs, a tradition dating back to the 19th century when it served as a major trade hub. These markets are remnants from when the region depended on trade routes.
