Gmina Gierałtowice

Gmina Gierałtowice is a rural municipality in Gliwice County consisting of four villages spread across the region. The four settlements of Chudów, Gierałtowice, Paniówki, and Przyszowice form this administrative area in southern Poland.

The municipality developed in the industrializing Upper Silesian region as an administrative district balancing rural traditions with modern changes. Its formation reflects the administrative reorganization of this historically important area.

Local sports clubs, including KS Garda Gierałtowice and LKS Jedność 32 Przyszowice, represent the community through competitive swimming and boxing achievements.

The area sits at the crossroads of the A1 and A4 motorways, offering direct access to nearby major cities. Travel to Gliwice takes about 9 kilometers northwest, and connections to Katowice are equally convenient.

The area maintains a balanced mix of land use with farmland and meadows covering more than half the territory. Forest areas form a smaller portion yet contribute noticeably to the green character of the region.
