Pakoszówka

Pakoszówka is a small rural settlement nestled in a valley near Mount Wroczen, which rises to around 498 meters. The village sits within the Subcarpathian region and reflects the typical layout of settlements in this mountainous part of Poland.

Archaeological finds from Pakoszówka reveal settlements of the Przeworsk culture dating to the 3rd century BC, including bronze bracelets and Celtic-influenced objects. These discoveries show that the area was inhabited and actively used during ancient times.

The village holds connections to notable religious figures, including Josaphat Kotsylovsky, a Ukrainian Greek Catholic bishop who served the community in the early 20th century.

The settlement sits roughly 13 kilometers northwest of Sanok and about 45 kilometers south of Rzeszów. This location provides connection to regional transportation routes and larger urban centers in the area.

Excavations have uncovered evidence of early iron production in the region, marking this place as a significant ancient metallurgical site. This craft activity suggests it was an economically important location during prehistoric times.
