It combines straightforward Dutch architectural principles with traditional Polish noble residence design and currently operates as a hotel and restaurant.
The estate was originally established by the Oborski family and passed to the Koniecpolski family in 1643, then to the Wielopolski family in 1650. These changes in ownership reflect the shifting fortunes of Polish nobility during the 1600s.
The manor reflects how rural Polish nobility lived, with spaces designed for relaxation and family time rather than grand ceremonies. Visitors can still sense this more intimate approach to aristocratic life, quite different from the formal palaces in cities.
