Platerówka

Platerówka is a village in Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland, located roughly 10 kilometers southwest of Lubań. It functions as the administrative center of its district and offers basic services to its residents.

A stone manor was built in 1511 by Maciej von Salza on the site of a structure previously destroyed by Hussite forces. This construction marks a rebuilding effort following medieval conflicts in the region.

The village takes its name from the Emilia Plater Independent Women's Battalion, whose members made their home here after World War II. This naming reflects the settlement's connection to a significant military unit from that era.

The village has basic services and maintains connections to larger towns in the Lower Silesian region. Visitors should expect a small, quiet settlement with typical rural facilities and amenities.
