Biskupiec, Nowe Miasto County

Biskupiec is an administrative village in Nowe Miasto County located in northern Poland's flat landscape at about 87 meters elevation. The settlement sits roughly 19 kilometers northwest of Nowe Miasto Lubawskie and functions as the municipal center for Gmina Biskupiec.

The settlement received town rights in 1331, establishing it as a significant local center for over 600 years. World War II brought widespread destruction that led to the loss of municipal status in 1946, transforming it into a standard village.

The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk and Our Lady of the Rosary anchors the village center and reflects the deep Catholic faith of local residents. This religious structure serves as a gathering point that shapes everyday community life.
