Wąbrzeźno County

Wąbrzeźno County is an administrative district located in north-central Poland within the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The territory comprises five administrative units organized around a central urban area and numerous rural settlements spread across the countryside.

The county was established through Polish local government reforms in 1998 and officially came into effect on January 1, 1999. This reorganization was part of a larger restructuring of administrative divisions throughout the country.

The county maintains traditional Polish administrative structures with one urban gmina centered in Wąbrzeźno and four rural gminas managing local affairs.

The area is well connected by road, with routes linking the five administrative units together. Visitors can find basic services and accommodation in the main town and smaller settlements throughout the district.

The district borders five neighboring counties, positioning it as a central point in the voivodeship. This strategic location historically allowed the exchange of goods and people between different regions of northern Poland.
