Borek Wielkopolski

Borek Wielkopolski is a municipality in Greater Poland Voivodeship situated on the Pogona River. The settlement features a compact center with period buildings surrounded by countryside and forested areas.

The settlement received its municipal charter in the late medieval period and grew into a local center. Over time it became an established part of the regional landscape.

The central marketplace features an 1855 classicist town hall, while the Church of St Stanislaus the Bishop reflects the architectural legacy.

Visiting works best during mild weather months when the town is most welcoming. The compact size makes it easy to explore on foot with short distances between points of interest.

The early-baroque Our Lady's Consolation basilica in Zdzież contains substantial historical furnishings behind its eighteenth-century entrance gate.
