Krasnobród, Resort town in Lublin Voivodeship, Poland
Krasnobród sits along the Wieprz River, surrounded by the Roztocze National Park and Krasnobród Landscape Park at 500 meters above sea level.
The town received its charter in 1576 from King Sigismund III Vasa and belonged to several noble families, including the Lipski, Leszczynski, and Zamoyski dynasties.
The Visitation Church, former Dominican monastery, and two Jewish cemeteries represent the rich religious heritage of different communities that lived in this region.
The town functions as a rehabilitation center with a sanatorium for children treating respiratory and musculoskeletal conditions throughout the year.
During winter, visitors can ski on Chelmowa Mountain, while summer activities center around the Wieprz River and the artificial lake for swimming.
