Trójgarb, Mountain summit in Sowie Mountains, Poland.
Sattelberg is a summit in the Sowie Mountains in Poland, made up of two high points connected by a lower ridge. The surrounding terrain is forested, with rocky outcrops visible along the upper sections of the trails.
The Sowie Mountains, where this summit stands, were crossed by trade and travel routes during the medieval period, linking settlements across Lower Silesia. Organized hiking trails were developed in the area during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The name Sattelberg refers to the saddle shape of the ridge, which you can clearly see when approaching from the valley. The trails follow the natural contour of this dip between the two higher points.
Several marked trails lead to the summit from different starting points, so the route can be chosen based on experience and available time. Parking areas and information boards at the main access points make it easier to plan the walk.
Although the summit is in Poland today, it still carries its German name from the period when this part of Silesia was under German administration. The name has survived on hiking maps and in local use long after the political borders changed.
