Gmina Bochnia

Gmina Bochnia is a rural municipality in Bochnia County, comprising numerous small settlements across a varied landscape. The terrain transitions from flat meadows in the north to more elevated areas toward the south, with villages and farmland distributed throughout.

The territory developed as part of the historic region of Little Poland and was shaped by agricultural and salt trade activities over centuries. Proximity to Bochnia, a long-standing salt mining center, influenced the economic development of surrounding villages through different historical periods.
