Rapa, Village in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland.
The village lies 9 kilometers north of Banie Mazurskie, near the border of Kaliningrad Oblast, surrounded by dense forests and agricultural fields.
Jacob John Hoffmann constructed a palace in Rapa during 1750, which Johann Friedrich Wilhelm von Fahrenheid acquired in 1793 for his residence.
The pyramid-shaped mausoleum, built in 1811 following Egyptian architectural principles, contains preserved remains of the Fahrenheid family members within its walls.
Visitors need personal transportation to reach Rapa, as the village sits 20 kilometers west of Goldap and 116 kilometers northeast of Olsztyn.
The Rapa mausoleum stands 15.9 meters tall with a square base of 10.4 meters, maintaining the same internal angle as the pyramids of Giza.
