Gmina Błonie is an urban-rural municipality in the Masovian Voivodeship region located west of Warsaw. The area consists of open farmland surrounding a central town, with villages scattered throughout the landscape.
The town received town rights in 1338 from a Polish duke, marking its establishment as a recognized settlement. Over the centuries it developed as a regional center for craftspeople and traders.
The municipality maintains strong agricultural traditions, with farming activities covering 86 percent of its total land area in the eastern part of Poland.
The municipality is located roughly 30 kilometers west of Warsaw and is accessible by train from the capital. Spring through autumn offers the best conditions for walking and exploring the surrounding countryside.
The area was historically home to small craft workshops, particularly shoemaking and brewing operations. These industries shaped the local character and remain part of its story despite modern farming focus.
