Tower in Ząbkowice Śląskie, Medieval bell tower in Ząbkowice Śląskie, Poland.

The Tower in Ząbkowice Śląskie is a stone structure from medieval times that leans visibly to one side, with a tilt measuring around 2 meters. An internal staircase with roughly 140 steps climbs to an observation platform at the top.

The structure was built around 1500 and originally served as a bell tower for the church below. A covered passage was added later to connect the two buildings together.

The tower has long been central to community life and continues to define the town's character today. Visitors can sense how this structure remains woven into daily local routines.

Access to the tower is available, but visitors should be ready for narrow stairs and the sensation of the building's tilt. Wearing suitable footwear is advisable, and it is wise to check opening hours ahead of a visit.

The lowest chamber was once a starvation dungeon that could only be entered from above, inflicting terrible suffering on those trapped inside. Today this space holds an exhibition about medieval punishment and its brutal methods.
