Ernest Schön Palace in Sosnowiec, Neo-baroque castle in Sosnowiec, Poland.

Pałac Ernsta Schöna is a four-story neo-baroque castle in Sosnowiec decorated with ornate stucco depicting oak leaves and fruits, featuring three corner towers topped by onion-shaped domes. The building now houses a museum, civil registry office, restaurant, gallery, and café.

Built in 1885 by the Schön family, the castle served as a private residence until 1985 when it became the Municipal Museum of Sosnowiec. This transformation marked a shift from a family home to a public cultural institution.

The palace hosts rotating art exhibitions featuring photography, paintings, and decorative glasswork from the Zawiercie region that change throughout the year. These collections reflect the artistic traditions that developed and continue in the local community.

The complex is easily accessible and contains several facilities including a museum, civil registry office, restaurant, gallery, and café for visitors to explore. Plan time to walk through different areas and appreciate the exterior architecture.

The original main facade originally faced the railway tracks but was relocated to the southern side during the 1940s, replacing an earlier greenhouse on that spot. This relocation changed how the building related to its surroundings.
