Tułowice, Opole Voivodeship, Municipality in Opole County, Poland.
Tułowice is a town in Opole County, in the Upper Silesia region of Poland. Its center is shaped by a church and a palace that stand close together and give the town its main built character.
The settlement was part of Poland in medieval times before coming under Bohemian, then Prussian, then German rule over the following centuries. Each change of control left traces in the architecture and in the place names that are still visible today.
The Church of the Resurrection of Christ stands at the heart of daily life and gives the town its most recognizable skyline. The nearby palace, once home to noble families, is still part of the built fabric that residents and visitors pass through.
The town has a railway station with connections toward Opole and Nysa, making it easy to reach by train. A visit here pairs naturally with stops at other towns along the same line.
Tułowice received full town status only in 2017, making it one of the most recently recognized towns in Poland. This came through a formal administrative process that small settlements can go through to be officially reclassified.
