Uphagen's House, 18th-century merchant house museum in Gdańsk, Poland

The interior of Uphagen's House displays original wooden furnishings, decorative elements, and period-specific household items across multiple restored rooms.

Built in 1776 for merchant Johann Uphagen, this townhouse exemplifies the architectural style of wealthy Baltic merchants during Gdańsk's prosperous trading period.

The museum exhibits demonstrate the daily routines and social customs of Gdańsk's merchant class through preserved dining rooms, bedrooms, and reception halls.

Visitors can explore the house Tuesday through Sunday, with extended hours on Thursdays and guided tours available in multiple languages.

This merchant residence remains one of the few completely reconstructed 18th-century townhouses in Europe open for public viewing.
