Izaak Synagogue, Baroque synagogue in Kazimierz district, Krakow, Poland.

The Izaak Synagogue displays early Baroque architecture with painted prayers on interior walls, a vaulted ceiling, and decorative plasterwork at 18 Kupa Street.

Built in 1644 by architect Giovanni Battista Trevano, the synagogue suffered substantial damage during World War II when the Gestapo ordered the destruction of Torah scrolls.

The synagogue maintains its role as an Orthodox Jewish congregation while serving as an educational center about Jewish traditions in Krakow.

Visitors can explore both the main prayer hall and women's gallery, accessing the building through the original entrance on Kupa Street.

The synagogue takes its name from Izaak Jakubowicz, a banker to King Ladislaus IV, who funded its construction after discovering wealth in his own home.
