FM- and TV-mast Klepaczka, Broadcasting tower in Wręczyca Wielka, Poland
The FM and TV mast Klepaczka is a broadcasting tower in Wręczyca Wielka that rises about 340 meters high and is stabilized with cable support. The structure enables radio and television signals to reach communities across the Silesian region.
The broadcasting tower was completed in 1997, following the collapse of Warsaw's famous radio mast years before. It became one of Poland's tallest structures after that event.
The mast transmits multiple television channels and radio frequencies, connecting residents of Silesian Voivodeship to national broadcasting networks like TVP and Polskie Radio.
The site is accessible from the outside, though the interior and tower height are not open to the public. The best time to view and photograph it is during clear weather when the structure stands out against the sky.
The different antennas are positioned at separate heights: radio equipment sits around 250 meters up, while television equipment is mounted about 60 meters higher. This separation helps reduce interference between the different types of broadcasts.
