Grodziec

Grodziec is a village in Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland situated across rolling hills and open countryside. The settlement sits in a rural landscape characterized by woodlands and agricultural fields.

A medieval fortress emerged here in 1155 under Prince Boleslaw I the Tall, built to replace an earlier wooden structure. The stronghold underwent reconstructions and modifications that shaped its form through later centuries.
