Zbiersk, Rural community in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland
Zbiersk is a village in Greater Poland Voivodeship that spreads on both sides of National Road 25. The western section keeps its original name while the eastern part is called Zbiersk-Cukrownia.
The village underwent a major administrative change in 1973 when it was divided into two parts as part of new regional governance reforms. This division shaped how the settlement developed and remains visible in its layout today.
The settlement maintains strong agricultural traditions consistent with the Greater Poland region, contributing to the local food production and farming practices.
The settlement sits roughly 24 kilometers north of Kalisz and about 96 kilometers southeast of Poznań. Visitors will find local establishments that serve the community's everyday needs.
On July 29, 1921, the settlement recorded a temperature of 40°C, which was the highest ever documented in Poland at that time. This extreme reading made the place a notable point in the country's weather record history.
