St. James Church, Powroźnik

The St. James Church stands as a three-section wooden structure with a sanctuary, nave, and women's gallery, following traditional Lemko architectural design principles.

The original church from 1600 underwent relocation and reconstruction in 1813 due to flooding threats, with parts of the initial structure incorporated into the current sacristy.

The interior features an eighteenth-century iconostasis displaying apostles, prophets, and martyrs, along with numerous Carpathian icons from the seventeenth century.

The church maintains regular opening hours for visitors and stands along Droga Wojewódzka 971, with Bardejov Town located 25 kilometers away.

The polychrome decorations dating back to 1607 represent some of the oldest preserved religious paintings in wooden churches of the Polish Carpathians.
