Saint Onuphrius church, Posada Rybotycka, Greek Catholic tserkva in Posada Rybotycka, Poland
The Saint Onuphrius church features defensive architecture with windows designed as shot holes and a stone wall enclosing the structure on an elevation.
Built between the 14th and 15th centuries, this structure represents the oldest existing tserkva in Poland and contains inscriptions from the 16th century.
The interior preserves medieval polychromes and includes a brick iconostasis that separates the presbytery from the main nave of the church.
The building now functions as a museum under the ownership of the Greek Catholic Church and displays regional ecclesiastical artifacts.
The tower structure combines religious and military functions, with elevated viewpoints that served for territorial surveillance during periods of conflict.
