Riviera Skyscraper, University dormitory in Śródmieście, Warsaw, Poland
Riviera Skyscraper is a residential building for students located at 12 Waryńskiego Street in central Warsaw. The structure features a main tower connected to two smaller wings, creating a distinctive form that rises above the surrounding streets.
The building was constructed between 1962 and 1964 and held the position of second tallest structure in Warsaw until 1974. The Novotel Warszawa Centrum then surpassed it in the city's skyline.
The ground floor hosted Galeria Remont from 1972 to 1979, followed by Galeria RR from 1983 to 1989, both contributing to Warsaw's art scene.
The building is situated near Politechnika metro station and is well connected by public transportation. Visitors should note that this is a student dormitory and may not be freely accessible to the public.
A 1999 renovation applied reflective glass tiles in light and navy blue colors to the exterior. This modernization significantly altered how the building presents itself within the urban landscape.
