Czarnogóra, Mountain peak in Krucze Mountains, Poland.
Czarnogóra is a 621-meter peak in the central section of the Krucze Mountains, located along the Polish-Czech border region. Its slopes are covered with dense spruce and pine forests that surround the hiking routes and riding paths.
The Krucze Mountains formed as part of the Central Sudetes during the Carboniferous period and have shaped the border region since then. This ancient mountain range continues to define the landscape between the two countries.
The red Main Sudetic Trail runs through this peak, linking towns and creating a route that both walkers and cyclists follow to explore the surrounding landscape.
The peak is accessible by multiple hiking routes and cycling trails, including designated riding paths from Ulanowice to Krzeszów. Visitors should prepare for changing weather and wear appropriate footwear for the forested slopes.
The eastern slopes surprisingly contain open meadows amid the surrounding forests, offering a contrast to the densely wooded areas. Along forest roads, visitors encounter three-meter-high escarpments that emerge unexpectedly from the landscape.
