Gontyniec

Gontyniec is a mountain trail running area with three marked routes that vary in difficulty and terrain features. The trails wind through the landscape, offering different experiences depending on which path you follow.

The area became a place for organized ultra-running events starting in the early 2000s. These regular competitions helped establish the location as a center for endurance running in Poland.

The Gontyniec Ultra Trail Foundation organizes three major sporting events throughout the year, connecting local and international running communities in northern Poland.

The best time to run is on a warm weekend when the trails are busier and safer. Bring sturdy shoes and enough water to stay comfortable while navigating the uneven paths.

One running event takes place in February and challenges participants to complete the course in minimal clothing. This extreme test exposes runners to harsh winter conditions.
