Description
Nature reserve Zajęcze Wzgórze is a forested area on moraine hills in Sopot with pine, beech, and oak trees. The dense vegetation covers the slopes and creates a continuous woodland that fills the entire space.
History
The area was protected in 1983 to preserve a natural woodland. Some trees in the forest are about 200 years old and show the long history of this forest patch.
Culture
The reserve shows how natural forests renew themselves over time without human help. Visitors can watch different tree species grow together and shape the woodland as seasons change.
Practical
Visitors must stay on marked trails and are not allowed to camp, make fires, or bring dogs. Following these rules helps protect the natural environment and keeps everyone safe while exploring.
