Liwia Łuża Lake, Nature reserve near Baltic Sea in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland.
Located between Niechorze and Pogorzelica, this shallow lagoon lake spans 210 hectares with extensive reed islands covering 20 percent of its surface.
The reserve gained official protection status in 1959, transforming from an ancient marine bay separated from the Baltic Sea by natural coastal processes.
The reserve forms part of the Natura 2000 European Ecological Network, representing significant natural heritage of the West Pomeranian region.
Visitors can explore the 9-kilometer green trail circling the lake, starting from Niechorze bus station and passing through historical settlement remains.
The lagoon maintains a direct connection to the Baltic Sea through a 1.2-kilometer channel, creating conditions for both freshwater and saltwater plant species.
