Rezerwat przyrody Jezioro Rakutowskie, Nature reserve in Kowal Municipality, Poland
Lake Rakutowskie Reserve encompasses 416 hectares of shallow waters and marshlands within the Gostynin-Wloclawek Landscape Park at Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The Polish Ministry of Forestry and Timber Industry established Lake Rakutowskie as a protected nature reserve in March 1982 to preserve its ecological value.
The reserve functions as a scientific research site where specialists monitor water quality, conduct bird counts, and study the regional ecosystem changes.
Visitors can observe the lake and its surroundings from a dedicated observation tower that provides views of the water surface and reed beds.
The wetland shelters 234 bird species, with autumn gatherings of up to 3,000 cranes making it among Poland's 25 most important crane roosting locations.
