Skansen budownictwa puszczańskiego w Granicy

Skansen budownictwa puszczańskiego is an open-air museum in Granica with three traditional farmsteads showing rural architecture from different social backgrounds. The buildings are covered with thatched roofs or wooden shingles and demonstrate historical building methods of the region.

The museum was founded in 1984 and received wooden buildings from 1919 from the Kampinos Forest area. These structures represent traditional building methods that were used in the region.

The three farmsteads are named after their former owners and show different ways of life among rural people in the area. Visitors can see today how various social classes lived in this region.

The site is located within the Educational Museum Center in Granica with parking, a playground, and nature trails. Visiting allows you to explore the buildings at your own pace and enjoy the surrounding nature.

The Połeć farmstead is also called the Kampinos Cottage and offers workshops where visitors can learn traditional bread baking and Easter palm making. These hands-on experiences show craftsmanship techniques passed down through generations.
