Stara kaplica w Niepokalanowie, Religious chapel in Niepokalanów, Poland
The wooden chapel stands in an L-shape configuration, measuring 15 meters in length, 5.7 meters in width, and 2.6 meters in height.
The chapel, established in 1927 by Saint Maximilian Kolbe, served as the first religious structure within the emerging Franciscan monastery of Niepokalanów.
The chapel contains memorial sections dedicated to Saint Maximilian's childhood, publishing activities, concentration camp experiences, and subsequent canonization process.
Visitors can attend religious services on three annual feast days: August 14, August 15, and December 8.
The chapel survived World War II intact while the surrounding monastery complex suffered substantial damage during the Nazi occupation.
