Sokolik, Mountain summit in Lower Silesia, Poland

The Sokolik peak reaches an elevation where visitors can observe extensive views of the surrounding Lower Silesian landscape and dense forest formations.

During the 20th century, workers extracted basalt from Sokolik for the manufacturing of construction materials, particularly paving stones for local infrastructure.

The slopes of Sokolik contain evidence of medieval agricultural practices through preserved field boundaries and traditional terracing methods from that period.

Visitors must follow designated paths within the nature reserve, as regulations prohibit walking outside marked trails to protect local flora and fauna.

The geological composition of Sokolik includes basalt formations created when magma rose through fissures during the Rhine Rift Valley subsidence.
