Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Białystok, Modern Catholic sanctuary in Białostoczek district, Poland
The brick church features modernist architectural elements with a prominent papal altar and two levels, including an upper and lower worship space.
Bishop Edward Kisiel consecrated the lower church in December 1986, following its construction that began after receiving official permission in 1984.
The sanctuary houses the remains of Father Michał Sopoćko in the lower church crypt and preserves relics of Saint Faustina Kowalska since 1993.
The sanctuary welcomes visitors at Blessed Father Michał Sopoćko Square 1, serving the Białostoczek neighborhood with regular religious services.
The sanctuary resulted from local residents' petition in 1982, becoming a central point for Divine Mercy devotion in northeastern Poland.
