Decjusz Villa in Kraków

Decjusz Villa is a Renaissance building in Wola Justowska with white stone walls and symmetrical architecture from the 16th century. The building is surrounded by gardens laid out according to classical European design principles.

The villa was founded in 1535 by Justus Decius and became a gathering place for scholars and artists during the Polish Renaissance under King Sigismund I. The building has shaped the cultural legacy of the region ever since.

The villa serves today as a cultural center that hosts writers and artists from different countries and supports international exchange programs. People come here to work together and share ideas across borders.

You can visit the villa and its gardens on guided tours that run from Tuesday through Sunday. For group visits, it is helpful to give advance notice.

The villa hosts the Visegrad Summer School, where students and professionals from Central Europe gather to learn from each other. This program brings together people from several countries each year to work on European topics.
